Controlling Devices from the Panel Tabset
Opening a Default or Saved Panel Tabset

The panel tabset consists of a set of default Control Panels, organized on tab pages. The timebase is automatically connected to the panels. If there are multiple timebases connected to the selected server, the window displays a panel tabset for each timebase. The number and type of control panels included in a default panel tabset depend on the instruments installed in the timebase. After opening the default panel tabset, you can add or delete panels and then save the modified panel tabset.

To open a default panel tabset:

  1. On the View menu, select Default Panel Tabset
    –or–
click the icon on the standard toolbar.

  2. In the Connect to Chromeleon Server dialog box,  select the chromatography Server on which the timebase you want to control is configured.

 Tip:

If the system is unable to open the panel set, the standard datasource of the server is not mounted on the Client computer. Click File -> Mount Datasource or contact your Administrator.

To open a saved panel tabset:

  1. On the File menu, select Open.

  2. In the Open dialog box, select Panel Tabset from the Object of type list.

  3. Navigate to the folder that contains the panel tabset. Click the name in the list and click Open.

 Tip:

You can also select a panel tabset directly from the Browser by double-clicking the name (*.PTS).
